During hours of long training or competition you need 200 calories to 300 calories of energy per hour, and electrolytes. Now it's easy and simple-all you need is a bottle of CarboPro1200, which has more calories than eight bottles of any sports drink or a dozen Gels. Its your choice.
Directions: There are six servings in a bottle. Each serving provides 80 ml or 3oz., which is worth 200 calories. The label has a calorie indicator for your convenience.
For a long training session or a Race, such as a Marathon, 70.3 Distance (Half-Ironman) or Ironman, you can mix / dilute in water the required amount of servings/calories (ONE serving = 200 calories) in ONE or several sports bottles. When you mix, for example 3 servings = 600 calories or one-half bottle (8 oz. of CarboPro1200) in a bottle of water it just tastes like flavored water, like Vitamin water, and it is so easy to drink, but yet provides the surge of calories you need for 2 to 3 hours of training or racing. It also provides 450 mg of Sodium and 300 mg of Potassium.
You can also mix / dilute in water and carry the required amount for a long RIDE in a CAMLEBAK or HYDRAPAK.
Each 80 ml serving provides 50 grams of carbohydrates, 200 calories, plus 150 mg of sodium and 100 mg of potassium to replace electrolytes. One 16oz., 480 ml, bottle is enough to keep you energized for four to six hours for century rides, ironman, marathon, or ultramarathon, or any other endurance activity of more than four hours.
During activity sip about 80 ml to 100 ml per hour, two to three oz. per hour, followed by sips of water; drink the amount of water you normally drink per hour of activity.
For shorter durations you may mix the required amount of servings/calories in water and drink it during activity. Just freeze or refrigerate the unused portion, and use it the next time.
Recovery Mix: You can also use up to two servings, 100 grams of carbohydrates, in a post workout recovery shake. It's a perfect recovery mix.
